Welcome to the Assam Benelux Association

This web site is an attempt to bring people from Assam who are living in the Benelux region together. There is immense need for a platform on which Assamese people can come into contact with each other as well as share the news and information from Assam first hand. This is exactly where the Assam Benelux Association can come into existence.

The main objectives of this organisation are as follows:

To promote Assamese culture.
To provide a common platform for the people of Assam to exchange ideas and discuss matters of common interest.
To distribute information on Assam and the BENELUX region for those interested.
To organize socio-cultural activities for an improved understanding of the qualitative aspect of the Assamese language.

I am sure you will definitely want to visit this enchanting place, but bear in mind that there are countless many who came to visit and never went back preferring to spend the rest of their lives in the ambience of Assam!!!!

I am building a list of people from Assam who are now in the Benelux region and vice-versa. Please email me so that I can include your name and any details you consent to publish in the list. Your suggestions are always welcome. Direction to Assamese individuals are currently available for Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Voorburg (all in The Netherlands) and Brussels (in Belgium).

I have tried to contact similar organisations to learn and to spread the information. If you know of some such organisations, please let me know.

A little bit about the BENELUX region must be mentioned at this point. The three countries of Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg located next to the North Sea in Europe comprise BENELUX.
