I started my educational career from the best school in the whole world:Children's Paradise School. It is still one of my fondest memories from home.
Cotton College in Guwahati saw me for two years while I did my Higher Secondary School portion of my academic life. Oh, what a life!
I studied in Assam Engineering College, Guwahati for my Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. There, I chose Computer Programming Techniques, Extra High Voltage AC & DC Transmission & Distribution and Operations Research Techniques as my special subjects. Those four years were quite interesting indeed!!
In 1997 I finished my MBA from Cardiff Business School, in Wales, UK specialising in Management Information Systems and Purchasing Logistics & Materials Management. Cardiff is a very beautiful city and has a long history of medieval conflicts and development throughout the Industrial Revolution.
Initially, I was involved with Federal-Mogul Sealing Systems, Cardiff (previously known as Seal Technology Systems) as a Special Projects Administrator. FMSS is a subsidiary of Federal-Mogul Corp., the international automotive supplier.
Currently, I am a Project Manager with Shell Information Technology International B.V. in the Netherlands. It is a really cool place with a common aim of all concerned to make new pathways into the future. My activities are geared towards an ever so electronic market place. Most of my time now is taken up in getting into the depths of various software development and project management methodologies in an effort to improve the efficiency of the people around me as well as my own self.
I am interested in Dutch and Polish (although there was once a dabble in Italian and Japanese) languages apart from my other familiar languages of Assamese, English, Hindi and Bengali!
