A few notes from Ricky's desk

Welcome to this little spot in the net where I pen down my whims and experiences...

India won their first Test match in Pakistan. What a game that was too: Sehwag with his 309, Sachin unbeaten on 194 and the great spells from Kumble and Pathan wrote their names in the history books with their performances.
This day also marks another year of existence for CPS.

It is the day of reckoning and I managed to come out unscathed. With a sense of satisfaction I can write down here that I have been certified as a PMP® from the Project Management Institute®*.
After participating in study groups with the PMI Netherlands Chapter this has become the start of a new beginning.

It is Lini's birthday. Sweet little niece of mine has turned 10! I got back from sunny Melbourne yesterday. The flights were very long but the chance to experience Singapore Airline's Raffles Class made the difference between tiredness and pleasure. My my! what comfort! I have never seen such splendour in my limited travel experiences yet...
While in Melbourne it was a good chance to get in touch with Mark again. Meeting Ranen there was very nice indeed. This was seven years after leaving AEC and I hadnt seen him in between. The last few hours of my time in Melbourne was due to the courtesy of Sandeepda and Anitaba. AECians as a breed are really taking their stand all across the globe.

Shall start on my way to Melbourne tomorrow for a one week project assignment. This is my first forray into the southern hemisphere. Really looking forward to it

Had a greeeeaaaaat time in Poland. The thirteen hour drive (each way) was well worth it. Sad to have come back alone though...

Decided to throw away my bachelorhood. Seemed like a very good day to get engaged! Aga and me went over to Poland in the evening to take a look at Slupsk.

Family matters!!! Dicky came out of hospital this week and Annie has finally done her move to the capital in search of greener pastures... I am, I have to admit, quite a bit flustered as to why Dicky did'nt let us know of him being admitted into the hospital as soon as possible. But then again, whose brother is he? There have to be some traits that are common. Just to be complete in my information, I had to get the carburettor replaced in the car but otherwise it is back to its old self... Ah, forgot to mention that the spark for cricket has been rekindled. I am going for practice sessions at the Concordia Cricket Club in Delft.

Started my first steps towards some kind of a web journal... It is CPS's 26th anniversary tomorrow. I put in a few notes and messages that were relayed on to me on their site. Anyway, it is quite bright and sunny outside as I steal a few moments from my work to jot a few words here. Actually this is the first working day after the clocks were put an hour ahead over the weekend due to Daylight Saving Time kicking in. Messed up my beauty sleep in the morning by one whole hour! Took the car to the garage for a checkup...ended up leaving it there for the time being ;-(!!!
